About the partner

Wilmar

Wilmar International is one of Asia's leading agribusiness groups, ranked among the largest palm oil processors and traders in the world. Headquartered in Singapore, Wilmar operates across the full palm oil value chain — from upstream estates to refining, branding, and distribution — with operations in over 50 countries.

Wilmar's No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) policy, established in 2013, was one of the first comprehensive sustainability commitments in the palm oil sector. Its implementation requires monitoring across thousands of suppliers spanning multiple geographies.

The collaboration with Geometrack began in 2014, focusing initially on NDPE monitoring of Wilmar's third-party supplier base. Over the years, the scope has expanded to include helpdesk support, traceability work, and direct supplier engagement.

The work

How the collaboration shows up.

01 / 04Workstream

Monitoring

Continuous NDPE monitoring is the foundation of any responsible palm oil program. Geometrack tracks deforestation, peat conversion, fire, and land-use change across supplier-linked concessions — verified before alerts reach the client.

In practice with Wilmar

With Wilmar, this means monitoring the third-party supplier base across multiple geographies, with regular case briefs and risk assessments delivered to the sustainability team.

02 / 04Workstream

Helpdesk

Alerts don't resolve themselves. The helpdesk turns raw monitoring signals into clarified, evidenced cases ready for engagement or response.

In practice with Wilmar

Analyst-led case review and grievance support sit alongside Wilmar's internal workflow, with structured response packages for the sustainability and procurement teams.

03 / 04Workstream

Traceability

Traceability connects the alert to the supply chain — linking land-use risk to mills, suppliers, and sourcing relationships that matter to the buyer.

In practice with Wilmar

Geometrack maps Wilmar's third-party flows against monitored concessions, surfacing exposure pathways and informing prioritization for engagement.

Supplier Engagement

Engagement is where monitoring becomes change. Structured follow-up, clarification, and recovery review turn evidence into supplier action.

In practice with Wilmar

We support Wilmar's engagement team with case-ready evidence, ownership context, and recovery tracking for prioritized suppliers.
